Types of Scholarship

1. International Student Scholarship Program of Fujian Provincial People's Government is funded by the provincial government. Applicants should submit corresponding materials to International Affairs Office of MJU. Our university shall select the superior scholarship candidates from the applicants and submit them to the leaders of our university for examination and approval, and then to Department of Education of Fujian Province for the final review.

2. MJU international student scholarship is funded by MJU. Applicants can apply to International Affairs Office.

 

Scholarship Coverage

Both types of sholarship includes tuition fee, accommodation fees, insurance fees and living allowance.

 

Selection Criteria

1. The applicant shall be a non-Chinese citizen with a valid foreign passport who is aged from 18 to 30 years old and in good health.

Note: In accordance with NATIONALITY LAW OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA Article 5. Any person whose parents are both Chinese nationals and have both settled abroad, or one of whose parents is a Chinese nationaland has settled abroad, and who has acquired foreign nationality at birth shall not have Chinese nationality. Starting from 2021, students who apply for admission to the undergraduate program as international students should meet other eligibility requirements of the university and hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for at least 4 years (including 4 years). The applicant should have lived in any country other than China for more than 2 years in the last 4 years (before April 30th of the year of enrollment)

 (If the passport holder actually lives abroad for 9 months in a year, it will be calculated as one year, subject to entry and exit stamps).

2. The applicant shall be graduated from senior high school or have an equivalent education level to the senior high school in China and the academic records shall be satisfactory in high school.

3. The applicant shall have reached a certain level of Chinese language (HSK Level 4 or above). When applying for undergraduate admission, any senior high school graduate who has received Chinese as the major teaching language in the school shall be exempted from submitting HSK certificate, but corresponding certification(s) shall be presented.
